Seventeen-year-old Camille Kennecott has finally found true happiness. Her twin sister, Emily, has returned home after years of self-inflicted seclusion within the austere confines of Bethlem Hospital. Nathaniel Strider, the boy who has captured Camille’s heart, has tamed the beast within him and joins her whenever he is not living his dream as a sailor on the open sea. And her guardian, Dr. Bennett, has graciously carved out a space in his scientific laboratory for Camille to spend her day experimenting with herbal remedies.
When Dr. Bennett receives a plea from a colleague to visit Transylvania and help deal with the werewolf problem, Camille is thrilled at the prospect of traveling to this exotic place. But the darkest form of treachery has boarded the ship with them, and it is not long before Camille faces the chilling possibility of losing everyone she’s ever loved.
I loved the cover to this book. I mean Camille  had a beautiful cover but this one is just swoon worthy. I believe I know who the creater of the cover is- Tess's daughter,Nikki, who was mentioned in my interview with Tess. Find it here.  Nikki has given me a glimpse of the *sigh*, most amazing, swoon-worthy, so want to marry book boyfriend. Now I really like the blue dress, Camille, is wearing and it really sets off the cover.
All I have to say is - You rock at making the best looking indie covers ever, Nikki.

I have been waiting months for more of the delectable Nathaniel Strider. Okay this swoon-worthy male that is an ex-werewolf. Now heres the thing, my Nathaniel is back with a huge load of muscle. Yes he is still  a romantic at heart but no longer a player because Camille is back with Nathaniel.
So Nathaniel sets of on a ship to -Oh goodnessI forgot where- somewhere a good bit away from England. He is on a ship and has to ignore Camille for his reputation. If a guy said that to me I would knock them upside down with a frying pan like in Tangled. Then they have some problems- I must not say anything else in case I may leak out spoilers.

So every person in love with Nathaniel fear not because the handsome rouge every female who has ever read Camille is back. I will say that their is another guy- not like Nathaniel hot but like a highlander in being huge. Yes Camille often refered to him as a giant. Yet I found him very attractive in the mental picture I found in my mind.
Also, there is Camille's sister, Emily, who has taken a part as a major character in this book. Yes she is no longer timid and shy. I like her sarcastic voice and I found her a really enjoyable character. ((PS I think she found her on little love in this story *wink, wink* ))

So if you have not bought Camille go purchase you a copy now and once you devour it ,  go get you Heart of the Huntress. It's only 2.99 and so worth it. Also I ask you to especially recommend Heart of  the Huntress to book friends. Tess said if she got a good, positive response she would write a 3 book.... People, I need a third book, I may not make it without a third book. Just keep that in mind ;)

Exciting News!!

I have exciting news..... I have a book review request from a major publisher. Yes I was telling everyone at school and random strangers on the street if they would listen. ;)  Yes, I was in rapture when I read the email from  the amazing Anne Walls, from G. P. Putnam Son's aka Putnam which is a division of Penguin, asking me to review a copy of  Freshman Year and Other Unnatural Disasters by Meridith Zeitlin. This really has made my year. Yes a major publishing company became aware of me. ( I still love my indie authors though... :) )  Also, to let you know I did say yes to reviewing this galley.

Kelsey Finkelstein is fourteen and FRUSTRATED. Every time she tries to live up to her awesome potential, her plans are foiled – by her impossible parents, her annoying little sister, and life in general. But with her first day of high school coming up, Kelsey is positive that things are going to change. Enlisting the help of her three best friends — sweet and quiet Em, theatrical Cass, and wild JoJo — Kelsey gets ready to rebrand herself and make the kind of mark she knows is her destiny.

Things start out great - her arch-nemesis has moved across the country, giving Kelsey the perfect opportunity to stand out on the soccer team and finally catch the eye of her long-time crush. But soon enough, an evil junior’s thirst for revenge, a mysterious photographer, and a series of other catastrophes make it clear that just because KELSEY has a plan for greatness… it doesn’t mean the rest of the world is in on it.

Kelsey’s hilarious commentary throughout her disastrous freshman year will have you laughing out loud—while being thankful that you’re not in her shoes, of course…

80's Teen Thursday

 Title: Plainsong for Caitlin
Author: Elizabeth M Rees
Publisher:  Avon Flare
Published: April 1, 1996
Source: Library
Dates Read: January 12th 2012- January 12th, 2012

It was Rebecca's decision to go west, yet it is Caitlin who blossoms with the beauty and strength of the prairie itself. Challenged by the relentless hard work and life-threatening struggles that overwhelm timid Rebecca, Caitlin is enchanted by the rugged American West. And it is here that Caitlan discovers a love as compelling and dangerous as the land itself.

Borrowed from a school library, I throughly enjoyed this quick read while i was "listening" to my teacher teach. The characters were all well developed but I wished it to be a bit longer.
The author does a well job on the dialet of the speakers in the time, and I loved the setting with the thatch roof.
Caitlin reminds me alot of myself. She is so stubborn and thinks that if the boys can do it then so can I. She was the one who took care of herself and Rebecca, though Rebecca was the one who answered an add requesting a wife for marriage.
Rebecca was an interesting character but she was a tad too bit- bratish. I thought that Nate- the main hot guy in the book-( my second Dimitri and Patch ;) ) would have broken up with Rebecca but in the end it all turns well...
I loved the very end of the book when someone comes back but I wont leave a spoiler to who. :)

But just as Cate discovers a new love in Manteo, a Croatoan Indian, Ralegh sets sail for the New World. Lisa Klein seamlessly weaves together fact and fiction in this engrossing novel.

I love this cover. I am a big historical and Contemporary person. What really captivates my eye as I look at it is the girls dress. I love the dress. Her dark hair contrasts with it and makes the girls appearance look very beautiful and petite. The intresting plot has intrugued me and I will be looking into this book next time I am at a major book retailer or better yet when I sneak my nook away from my mother.
So this has been added to my to-read list and on my to-buy list. Sooner or Later it will be on my shelf. So what do you think of  the cover?Any suggestions on the next cover love? Just leave a comment or shoot me an email at cwyant3497@gmail.com. Thanks if you read this whole Cover Love.  If you skipped to the very end thanks for atleast checking out my blog. I really, really appreciate it.

Review of Heaven is for Heroes

Title: Heaven is for Heroes
Author: P J Sharon
Publisher: Indie ( P J Sharon)
Published: September 17 2011
Format: Nook Book
Source: Bought
Price: 99 cents

Smart and athletic seventeen year-old Jordie Dunn has a bright future planned, but when tragedy turns her life upside down, she begins to question not only her future, but the facts surrounding her brother’s death in Iraq. The military’s account that his best friend and fellow Marine, Alex Cooper, is at fault, is a notion she refuses to believe. Alex was the careful one--the shy, protective, computer geek she’s had a crush on since the ninth grade, and she knows better than anyone that her troubled brother had a dark and reckless side—a secret she’s kept for far too long.
With no memory of the incident that killed his best friend, nineteen year-old Alex Cooper returns home, shattered and facing a difficult recovery. Determined to go it alone, he pushes Jordie away. No longer the freckle-faced tom-boy who followed him and Levi around as a kid, she has become a beautiful and stubborn young woman who believes in him far more than he deserves.
While Jordie’s unique approach to rehab pushes Alex to extremes, the two discover that their childhood friendship has grown into more. The attraction has Jordie’s head spinning and her heart soaring, but Alex struggles to deal with his guilt, his loss, and the nightmares that continue to haunt him. Even though Jordie is determined to help him heal, and even more determined to find the truth, what she doesn’t expect, is to find love.

The girl on the cover is nothing like I pictured Jordie. Not at all. Maybe it was the eyes that messed me up. Yet the cover doesn't take away from the story. Although it doesn't get a 5 star rating it is a decent cover.
It does incorporate Cooper's Blonde hair and  Jordie's red hair that is curly and unruly. So atleast the characters looks looked appropriate.
3/5 Ereaders
I started this one off by crying. Yes, this is an absolute tear-jerker and I really did spread tears across my tablet's screen. Though sad it was well written and had a perfect plot. In fact I don't remember skipping a page once which I do in even my favorite of books. So this one was beautifully written and the characters were likable.
My favorite character , Alex also known as Coop to Jordie,  was in denial and was pushing everyone away. After losing his leg he was holding the guilt that he had killed his best friend, Lee, when he led him into a building against orders. Then comes in Jordie taking Coop on a ride to emotional recovery and a little bit of physical whether he likes it or not.  That is the thing with Jordie she is so stubborn and always tries not to mop around like everyone else is the book tries to do minus  Sarge who can brighten up any ones day.  Another thing is that Jordie didn't believe Coop killed Levi, she never believed it. I am not saying if Levi killed himself or Alex did because I will not ruin it.
Yes P J Sharon has done a great job on writing this book and the Romance developed between Coop and Jordie with an equal bit of friendship involved. What I enjoyed the most was Levi's letters written in the end. They were so gushy I cried my eyes out in this book. It is a runner up to Angela Morrison's amazing Sing Me To Sleep on making me cry.
What hurt me also was when Alex left to go somewhere. I thought  Oh God there goes my favorite character. Dead is how he is going to come back.  Thank the Lord above he didn't die... It would have broken my heart if he would have died.
So this book was a mixture of sad and sweet. It is an all the way amazing. The author's debut novel will blow anyone away. If you are a contemporary freak  like me, then diffidently give this books a spot on your ereader. It has really crawled its way into my reading heart. It even got me to buy On Thin Ice, which I really liked and will have the review up soon enough. I will definatly be watching the ebook market for more of P J Sharon's books. A New Voice that Rocks YA is this author. :)

Over all review 5/5 ereaders :)

Here is a Short Excerpt :

The sun sat low in the sky, an orange ball that promised another hot, steamy day ahead. I threw my towel onto a rock and kicked off my boots, the warm sand inviting under my toes. I shimmied out of my shorts and waded into the pond up to my thighs. A cold chill trickled up my spine. I thought of Alex for the millionth time in the last week, my heart taking another plunge into the depths of despair. I released a frustrated groan. I hated being this out of control of my emotions. Maybe he had found closure in telling me to take a hike, but I didn’t get to say what I wanted to say...should have said...needed to say. Instead I had pleaded like a pathetic, love sick little girl.

Angry with myself as much as I was Alex, I gave voice to my rage. "“You stubborn, pig-headed, pain-in-the-ass …jerk!”" I yelled to the leaves on the maple tree nearby. I felt stupid, but it was good to vent. A smidgeon of tension dropped from my shoulders. I did it again. "“How could you be so selfish?"” I shouted. “"How could you walk away from the one person who knows you best… and still LOVES you…...even though you are maddeningly stubborn and...…and emotionally…...immature!"” I screamed. A flock of geese took flight off the surface of the still water.

I had to laugh at myself. Not because I was wrong, really, but because it was a terribly one-sided argument and I was acting a bit like an irrational shrew. It felt good not to have to hold back, —constantly trying to be what Mom and Brig and...…Alex… needed me to be.

I sank under the water up to my chin and felt the chill all the way to my bones, all of the heat I’'d built up cooling instantly. I couldn'’t be mad at him. He was an honorable guy who thought he was doing the right thing by taking responsibility for a mistake. A part of me still couldn'’t believe it was Alex’'s fault. Where Levi was concerned, anything could have happened.

But the other part of me--—the part that had worried about my brother and lied to protect him--knew that if Levi walked willingly to his death, my silence was the lie that made it possible. Maybe that was the truth I was trying to get
