Review: Breaking Beautiful by Jennifer Shaw Wolf

  Title:Breaking Beautiful
  Author: Jennifer Shaw Wolf
 Published: April 24, 2012
 Publisher: Walker Childrens
 Source: Loan from Aunt

My only question when I finished the book was to the Goodreads community- why the heck would you rate this book any less than 5 stars? It is unaccountably amazing. Riveting read. And I was stunned to see that Jennifer was a *gasp* debut. Authors who have wrote 40 books aren't near as a gifted writer as Jennifer. She had me drawn in since page one.

I read the first page and I was bawling. By middle way, I had to go get my comfort food- ice cream- out of the freezer. By the end I was crying to my dad about how I planned on building a shrine around the book- I am completely serious about this part. Jennifer, if you ever read this review. You are my newly found idol.

Breaking Beautiful- I am in love. I need to stop ranting about this book but it is THAT good.

I have to say there was several guys I love with every fiber of my being in this book. Okay I only have 2 but I honestly loved them with EVERY fiber of my being. Andrew, oh my Andrew, I never once saw this boy as disabled. I thought of him amazing- and a hero at the end of the book. How he tried to stop Trip and how Trip always called him spaz, I wanted to kill Trip. I'm crying now thinking about it. But Andrew you are so amazing- I am just jealous Caitlyn gets you. She is so lucky.
Then Blake- oh the one love of my life- Blake. I am burning with passion about how Jennifer wrote you. I have chill bumps from writing this but I don't care. I am in love. He loved her always no matter what. He was made fun of and called Juvy. He never turned on her no matter what Trip did to her to make it seem like she hated him. Oh and then risking - oh and I can't say it because of spoilers. Darn it. But lets say Jennifer Wolf is freakin' amazing. I never have read so non-fake writing or characters in my life.

Now Trip. I am not even going there with Trip. I hate him. I hate him with all of my life and every other part.

There were a few characters I found aweful but I just took a disliking to the Detective,James,Hannah and Mr. Phillips. It was a first off thing. I am going to stop ranting and go ahead and tell the world. I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blog Tour: Fall For You

Title: Fall For You
Series: A Jane Austen Academy Novel
Author: Cecilia Gray
The last thing that the girls at the elite all-girls Jane Austen Academy need is hot guys to flirt with. But over the summer the school has been sold, and like it or not, the guys are coming. And it's about to turn the Academy--and the lives of its students--totally upside down...

To say Lizzie and Dante are polar opposites is the understatement of the century. He's a snooty Exeter transfer with more money than Google. She's a driven study-a-holic barely keeping up with tuition. It's obvious that Dante thinks he's way too good for Lizzie. And Lizzie knows Dante is a snob with a gift for pushing her buttons.

But things are changing fast this year at the Academy. And when Lizzie's quest to stop those changes blows up in her face, taking her oldest friendship with it, she has nowhere else to turn but to Dante, with his killer blue eyes, his crazy-sexy smile, and his secrets... Secrets Lizzie can't seem to leave alone, no matter how hard she tries...

*Warning I am suffering from a major headache and words are causing it to pound more so you are warned if it is short and off topic. *

Oh, love.  May I just add that I may kidnap Dante and Cecilia for my expanding basement.  I am debating whether or not to cry or yelp in joy that the book was over.  It was cute, and a fast read for me.  I mean it took about an hour and a half.

I liked the main character Lizzie, though head strong at points , then again wasn't Lizzie Bennett from Pride and Prejudice?  Seriously, I haven't read Pride and prejudice but I heard she was and I am sorta just comparing to Prom and Prejudice.

I bet it was a big difference that under went when you go from all female to male and female schooling.  I know personally from the book that if that happened to me and I met Dante I might as well just go ahead and elope. :P
Okay well now the headache has esculated and I feel aweful.  A more clearer review will be put up in place of this one hopefully tomorrow.

Kidnapping Authors: Meet the Kidnappees. :P

As you all know I have been storing several males in my bookish basement, but lately I have been adding on a room so I may kidnap a few authors along with them.   I could just have conversations, tea, and actually get to read a sequel to a book or two.  So, here are the ones I plan on housing in my little corner in the basement. :)  So if you are listed here just think of it this way.  I am a tad obsessed with your characters. * Everything listed below about stalking and kidnapping is completely fiction.  Really, I don't plan on watching your everymore..................... or do I.............. ;)

1) Cindy C Bennett- http://cindybennett.blogspot.com/
-    Okay, okay she has been on my to-kidnap list for some time.  I mean she is one of the sweetest authors alive- no joke and she writes fantastic YA contemporary so I mean this is an author I would kidnap just to meet in person.  I think I want to take Henry and Trevor with her.  Okay, I think I will be kidnapping this writer just for my personal enjoyment of her company.
On a personal note to the author:Maybe one day we could meet one of Jen and Trevor's kids?  Please!?!   I will be watching your every move until then.

2) Linda Kage- lindakage.com-

Oh, Linda. :P
    -  Yes, I love this author for her writing, personality, and all together person.  In other words, she is freakin' amazing.  I believe I might just take her daughter with her.  I mean the kid helps out with dishes and I bet Maya could help with the potty training. :P   I already received Ryder in the mail a few weeks back, but maybe I can convince her to bring Luke when I travel to the midwest to bring her back to my basement.  And we can just talk, talk and talk about funny stories, crayons, and my future husband and current locked in my basement, Travis Mad Dog Maddox.
On a personal note to the author:
Seriously,  you have to have a book signing in the south one day.  Other wise, I will be crying on the floor for the rest of my life. Or will I be peeking through your kitchen window until then......  You may never know.......................

3) Abbi Glines- http://www.abbiglines.com/-
 -  I loved Breathe, I idolized Because of Low, and now I am willing to sacrifice myself to read While it Lasts.  I mean seriously, Abbi why do you tempt me?  I would honestly kidnap this author just to get my hands on a copy of the book- now.  Honestly,  I would fake drink coffee and sit all day begging for a copy of the book. She even sent me Cage, Marcus, and Jax.  They are already there in my basement socializing with Travis Maddox and Ryder Yates.  Now if I could just personally meet the author who gave birth to these awesome guys I would die.
On a personal note to the author:  May I just marry each of your books and have polygamist family to each?  As you know from before, I have kinda been watching your every move since I finished Because of Low. So, you ever in Mississippi let me know- oh wait I will already know that but you might just have to tell me to make sure I am there following you to a near by Barnes and Noble and begging you to sign the book.

4) Jamie McGuire- http://www.jamiemcguire.com/-
I have been obsessing over Travis and Jaime since the day I read about my bookish love, Travis.  My favorite book of all time and the Jamie and I would get along with the chocolate covered cherries.  I believe we would talk about chocolate and how much I want inside of Travis's head right now that I am willing to give my signed copy of Vampire Academy away and my left arm and leg.  I have kidnapped Travis but he won't quite tell me of his personal view about his love story between Abby and himself.
Personal note to the author:  If you ever feel the urge of coming down south with the kids I will be waiting with my books and the cult I have built up that is in love with Travis also and beg you to sign all of our books , oh amazing YA author.

And that is all for now on the authors I plan on kidnapping and stalking.  Look for new ones next week. :P

So Want Saturday- 4

Title: While it Lasts
Series: Sea Breeze #3
Author: Abbi Glines
Release Date: July 31, 2012
Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.

Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer bailing hay?

Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.

Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.

Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

You know what I am craving now, more of my  Cage. He will most likely end up locked in my basement along with Ryder Yates, Travis Maddox, and a few others.  I already have preordered to have him delivered to my house soon so if anyone sees a large box on the way to Brookhaven  you know what is in it and who's it is. ;)
I honestly L-O-V-E-D Because of Low  and when I found out how long it was going to be before While it Lasts was going to be published.  Since I love graphics here was me:

So in other words, I will be stalking Abbi for the next couple of weeks til I get a copy in my hands.  I mean just looking at Cage's back from the cover I am drooling and my brain chanting over and over, kidnap Abbi, kidnap Abbi, you need it now, kidnap Abbi. :P  I'm joking- for the most part- about kidnapping Abbi.

Giveaway: Tie Dye Shirt from Callum and Harper

Since I didn't get to see any of Tom's Tye Dye he left in New York back in the day.  I thought I would have a little fun and make a Tye Dye shirt like in Callum and Harper.  I was thinking about making Tye Dye boxers ,but I think a shirt would be the better to receive in mail. You know, just in case someone asks why did you get Tye Dye undies.  I wish I could personally just order Tom and have him shipped right to my door.  I will settle into making two Tye Dye Shirts.  One of me since I want one, and then one for you, whoever wins this competition.

I'll make the shirts from an adult small to extra large.  If you need bigger or smaller just let me know.  It may cost me a buck or more to buy it ,but for my blogging friends I will do it.  And just to add- they are going to be Tye Dyed by me personally so if I ever post a picture or do a video blog and I look a little rainbow you know I accidentally some how got the dye all over me.

Review: Thomas & January

Title: Thomas & January
 Series: Sleepless #2
Author:  Fisher Amelie
Published: June 15, 2012
Publisher: Indie
Thomas Eriksson thinks he has it all figured out.

"People crossed the street when they saw me. I’m not really sure why that was. I mean, okay, I might have looked a bit intimidating if I was being truthful with you. I’d changed since New York. New York represented a life that wasn’t real, not truthfully, anyway. No, New York was the “young, immature, in love, idiot" side of Tom. The “Tie-Dye Tom of New York City” didn’t exist anymore. Tie-Dye Tom was dead."

January Mac Lochlainn thinks she’s her own worst enemy.

"I quit Berkeley. Threw away a full scholarship. Plans, you ask? What plans?"

But they’re both wrong.

I think I am going to do a picture review on the cover because this is pretty much how I felt about the cover.

When I first saw the cover-
Thirty minutes later after reading the excerpt and not knowing when the book was coming out.  Fisher Amelie must be a sadist. :) Why!!!!!!!!!!!  was my reaction.-
Why are you so cruel, Fisher?  Why? *cries*

Then after I calmed myself down and realized it had come to this.  Well, Fisher if you read this you will know what I have done with my life for the past couple of months.-
I know, I know. I need to seek a mental help. ;)

And then after I saw it had came out and still had the beautiful cover, here is my reaction.  Yet, before I died I had time to ask Tom to marry me. -
I have died and gone to heaven.

First, off I like to start this review off with a it's not fair!  I half way wrote a story before I heard of this one  was called An American January way back 10 months ago and I look up ,and Fisher has already written Thomas and January.  I thought January was only a name I could come up with. It's not fair that I am not the only name Genius in the world! Atleast my guy name wasn't Thomas- just to let you people know the main male protagonist was named Excell.
Name stealer. :P
The only complaint on the book is the shortness.  I got captivated and I needed more, people.  I needed more writing!  It was my own personal crack. When I read the book my expression grew to be like this.

So,  I think Fisher has pretty much captured my heart with Tom and January.  Both exceeding expectation characters,  rival even the beloved Callum and Harper.  Sure the book starts off with a first kiss in the first chapter.  Doesn't bother me a bit because the romance evolves.  The relationship grows over time.  It blooms slowly and the first kiss just didn't make them fall helplessly in love.  They took their time falling into love.  They took their  time to make sure that the other one just wasn't a jerk face.  They kissed once, they get arrested once, they listen to music several times, and they lose there hearts for the rest of there lifes.

I think I missed my Tye Dye Tom for some time. I loved Thomas, the new one but where is my Tom with all the tye dye and have to wear a piece no matter what , yet he left all of that behind him in New York?  Well darn.   Although, I hated to see Kelly out of his life even though she is soon to be married.  I always had a liking to her because of her 5 feet exactly height.
January.  One of my favorite Irish people in the whole world.  This character has so evolved and grown in this book.  A music lover that gave up everything just for - for herself.  She didn't feel Berkley was for her so she drops out even with her full scholarship. That girl has spunk for telling her parents- even more so about it to there face.  Then she just leaves like that and when she invited Tom to the party.  Well I just couldn't help but laugh.  This is one female character that is independent and one of my all time favorite female character leads.
I wish I worked for Seven, the music company.  All the guys that worked there sounded amazingly cute.  Every single last one of them sounded book boyfriend style- excluding Jonah.  I could hit him with a shovel as I type.  Then, instead of working for Seven in the US move me to Europe, my label friends.   I want to go meet the gopher interns.  They sounded very appealing in my little ears.
So one last thing I need to say before I go,  Can I have  Tom's Tye Dye underwear? :)

My thoughts summerized:
