18 year old high school senior and aspiring psychologist Samantha Sullivan (Sam) never thought she would fall for the one mysterious guy she has been speaking to over the phone for months, the boy the counselors called Daggers. She wasn't supposed to talk to him outside of their sessions. But as she began to peel the layers of Daggers and learn who he is, the one boy she is supposed to be saving, might just be the one who is saving her.

I really really like the cover.  I honestly have more happy thoughts about the cover than I did about the book itself.  I know you can't see it in this photo ,but the ARCS had an amazing glaze over them that made it feel really wierd ,but look amazing.  I would probaly buy this one just to keep it as shelf eye candy and not so much for the story.

It breaks my heart that I didn't like it more than I did.  It was just plain old okay in my thoughts.  I actually liked the authors writing voice.   It was pretty addicting. I just didn't like her characters- at all.

First off,  if a guy gives me a list. Yes a printed out list I and the average female human being would have took the paper from him tore it into about 100 pieces and  then said to them, " Like crap I would date you if you have conditions about being with me.  I remember one of the conditions was for you to date Collin you must have long hair.  Just to tick off Collin if I was Sam I would get the nearest pair of scissors and off with the hair!
Secondly,  He is a freakin' 23 year old that makes billions each year and she is an 18 year old student in HIGH SCHOOL.  Why would a 23 year old even try for a relationship with an 18 year old in High School?  That is too big of an age difference or atleast of those two ages.  I don't give a darn how mature Sam is, she should NOT be even thinking about dating Collins.

Although I found the characters super, uper annoying I really liked listening to Daggers and Sam talk about things.  I liked how their relationship over the phone developed better  AND slower through the phone calls than it did between Collin's and Sams.   I honestly and truly like a slow developing romance.  I can't stand - he smiled at me and I smiled at him and then we are getting married.  NO- I honestly strongly dislike them.

Also,  Kailin's writing style is addicting.  Just the way she writes words is addicting.  She has me craving more of her writing although if the characters are anything like Saving You Saving Me I may just have to wait til they are on sale.

My honest opinion if we facture everything in about it in my review and cover love it gets a 3.  It is just a mediocre book.  I think if you are looking for a quick summer beach read it isn't at all bad for that.

Interview W/ Sam from Saving You Saving Me.

What piqued your interest about Daggers?
Behind the beauty of this man, lies a child who is utterly broken.

What was your first impression on him when you met?
Shock. I had a nervous breakdown.

What is one thing about you people would be surprised to know?
How naughty I can be, especially as a Pastor’s Kid.

If you could do one thing different what would it be
The Billy Incident at age 13. It changed my life.

If you could have one wish come true what would you wish?
For everyone to be happy.

  1. Guess what?!?! My account is letting me comment again! Obviously, or else I wouldn't be here LOL.

I like Kailin Gow, I wish I had this one to read by her. But I guess it isn't that great. Still, you should try some of her other works. I loved Loving Summer and Circus Summer was pretty good too. I know what you mean about the cover - they have this rubbery feel and squeak when you rub them right? I just think that's the coolest thing!
